makes 2.5 dozen if you make them a little large like I do.
Purchase a 10 oz. bag of Nestle's White Chocolate Chips and a bag of fresh cranberries (1lb.).
Cherry-Port Cranberry Sauce
2 cups fresh cranberries (about 8 ounces)
3/4 cup dried sweetened cherries
3/4 cup port wine
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Bring all ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar melts. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minutes or until cranberries begin to pop. Cool slightly before serving.
I just made some this morning and will keep it in the fridge until Thanksgiving morning when my son, Noah, will put it in the middle of his traditional Turducken.
Until next time...or my next batch of hot flashes. They say menopause never ends.
